  PHASE IV - Understanding Our Eyes
M Lesson IV-1: Identify Five Senses
  IV-1. Students will name the five senses of the body.
  IV-2. Students will explain how the senses work together to help them.
M Lesson IV-2: How Our Sense of Sight Helps Us
  IV-3. Students will list examples of how sight promotes learning and provides protection and entertainment.
  IV-4. Students will compare looking and seeing (observing).
  IV-5. Students will explain how sight can affect feelings.
M Enhancer Lesson IV-2: Optical Illusions
  IV-E. Students will use optical illusions to demonstrate careful observation skills.
M Lesson IV-3: Let's See How Our Eyes See!
  IV-6. Students will name four parts of the eye.
  IV-7. Students will describe the functions of various parts of the eye.
  IV-8. Students will name parts of the eye that help us see and parts that help protect the eye.
M Enhancer Lesson IV-3A: The Eye Dissection
  IV-E. Students will observe the dissection of an animal eye.
M Enhancer Lesson IV-3B: How the Retina Holds an Image
  IV-E. Students will demonstrate how the retina holds images.
M Lesson IV-4: Eye Problems and What to Do
  IV-9. Students will name symptoms that might indicate the need for an eye examination.
  IV-10. Students will state the purpose of and procedures for a routine vision screening.
  IV-11. Students will explain why it is important for a person to wear glasses if they have been prescribed.
M Lesson IV-5: More Ways to Help the Visually Impaired
  IV-12. Students will name special tools (aids) used by the visually impaired.
  IV-13. Students will explain that these aids enable the visually impaired to use their other senses to gain information without using their eyes.
  IV-14. Students will state that aging can affect one's eyesight.
  IV-15. Students will state that visually impaired persons want to be treated as normal, not special
M Lesson IV-6: Eye Safety
  IV-16. Students will name behaviors which prevent eye injuries.
  IV-17. Students will describe techniques to remove a foreign body from the eye.
