  PHASE VI - Important Considerations: Nutrition, Exercise, and Stress
M Lesson VI-1: Fitness Balance
  VI-1. Students will recognize that a balance between food consumption (nutrition) and energy expenditure (exercise) contributes to fitness.
  VI-2. Students will describe obstacles to a lifestyle of fitness.
  VI-3. Students will list benefits of physical fitness.
M Lesson VI-2: The Basic Facts
  VI-4. Students will recall basic nutrition facts regarding the five food groups, recommended servings, and serving sizes.
  VI-5. Students will recognize the contributions of specific nutrients to health and fitness.
  VI-6. Students will choose food sources of specific nutrients that they would consider eating regularly.
M Lesson VI-3 What's in the Food?
  VI-7. Students will describe eating habits that promote a healthy cardiovascular system.
  VI-8. Students will analyze the nutritional information on food labels and identify heart-healthy foods.
