  PHASE IV - Preventing Illness
M Lesson IV-1: Wellness and Prevention
  IV-1. Students will define the term “healthy.”
  IV-2. Students will name behaviors that affect their health status.
  IV-3. Students will name health check-ups and immunizations as measures to prevent illness.
M Lesson IV-2: Illness
  IV-4. Students will define the terms “germs,” “illness,” and “communicable.”
  IV-5. Students will list the signs and symptoms of illness.
  IV-6. Students will name ways germs are spread from person to person.
M Enhancer Lesson IV-2: Head Lice
  IV-E. Students will list the signs and symptoms of head lice infestation.
  IV-E. Students will explain how to prevent the spread of head lice.
  IV-E. Students will describe what to do if they are affected by head lice.
M Lesson IV-3: Preventing the Spread of Germs–Coughing and Sneezing
  IV-7. Students will explain that some germs are spread by coughing and sneezing.
