  PHASE VI - Safety Is for Everyone
M Lesson VI-1: Safety Review
  VI-1. Students will describe actions and attitudes that can lead to unintentional injuries.
  VI-2. Students will list safety rules they can follow to prevent injuries.
  VI-3. Students will compose responses to questions regarding safety.
M Lesson VI-2: On My Own
  VI-4. Students will list safety rules for traveling alone.
  VI-5. Students will describe how they would respond in hypothetical situations when they are alone.
M Lesson VI-3: Making Decisions When Traveling Alone
  VI-6. Students will use the five steps for making decisions and solving problems when they are traveling alone.
M Lesson VI-4: Trouble, Trouble Everywhere
  VI-7. Students will list situations that may get them into trouble.
  VI-8. Students will demonstrate how to identify trouble by asking questions.
  VI-9. Students will demonstrate how to avoid trouble.
M Lesson VI-5: Avoiding Violence
  VI-10. Students will define conflict, danger, and violence.
  VI-11. Students will list factors that contribute to violence.
  VI-12. Students will decide what factors contribute to violence in hypothetical conflict situations.
  VI-13. Students will describe ways to eliminate the factors that contribute to violence in conflict situations.
M Lesson VI-6: Keeping My Body Safe
  VI-14. Students will describe what to do to protect themselves in situations involving unwanted or inappropriate touch.
  VI-15. Students will state that most molestation situations involve an older person the child knows, rather than a stranger.
  VI-16. Students will list the names and phone numbers of organizations and individuals who will help them if they need it.
M Lesson VI-7: Biking by the Rules
  VI-17. Students will list bicycle safety equipment and apparel.
  VI-18. Students will summarize the rules, regulations, and procedures regarding bicycle operation on the road.
  VI-19. Students will conclude that learning to ride a bicycle safely is good practice for driving a car in the future.
M Lesson VI-8: Enjoying Water, Ice, and Sun
  VI-20. Students will list safety rules for water, ice, and sun.
  VI-21. Students will create skits to demonstrate the safety rules for water, ice, and sun.
M Lesson VI-9: Rescue Breathing
  VI-22. Students will list situations that may cause breathing to stop.
  VI-23. Students will create models to use for practicing rescue breathing.
  VI-24. Students will identify rescue breathing as the first aid technique to be used when breathing stops.
M Lesson VI-10: Putting Health Into Practice
  VI-25. Students will summarize their knowledge and attitudes about health and their personal health practices.
  VI-26. Students will create a series of presentations about health to share with younger students.
