Focus groups with content experts were conducted during May and June of 2004. Focus groups were held on the following topics:

Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drugs
-
Character Education and Mental Health
-
Safety and Violence
-
Nutrition and Physical Activity
-
Personal Health and Wellness and Reproductive Health, Puberty, and Sexually Transmitted Disease
In addition, volunteers from the Comprehensive School Health Coordinators Association participated in a focus group to provide feedback on the framework.
Focus group members were asked to review the framework for their area of expertise and to provide feedback regarding the learning objectives. Following the focus groups, the framework was revised. It is currently in draft form and will be used to guide the revision process.
