Nutrition and Physical Activity - Plan for Snacks, Balanced Meals, & Physical Activity

Describe the elements of a physical activity plan. (GS)

Develop a plan for eating the recommended amounts of food for one day.

Choose a snack using specific criteria, such as fat, carbohydrate, fiber, calcium, and calorie content. (SM)

Describe strategies for dealing with personal preferences, restrictions, and barriers related to healthy eating, adequate sleep, and physical activity. (SM)

Develop a plan to be physically active. (GS)

Plan a meal using specific criteria, such as fat, carbohydrate, fiber, calcium, and calorie content. (SM)

Develop a dietary and physical activity plan for a week that is consistent with the dietary guidelines. Note: both physical activity and diet are included in the new guidelines, so this doesn’t need to be spelled out. (GS)
