Michigan Model for Health®
Getting Help with the
Michigan Model for Health Emergency Preparedness curriculum
Electronic
Professional Development
The partners in the development and support of the
Michigan Model for Health Emergency Preparedness curriculum strongly
recommend professional development to assist teachers in the instruction of
this important subject matter.
To provide for this step, teachers are offered two
electronic options: Online and CD-based training modules.
Access the Online training modules offered through
MI-Train by selecting that option from the column to the left.
If internet access is a challenge for teachers seeking
training, the module is also available on the Teacher Resources CD packaged
with the curriculum. Once the CD-based module is completed, certificates can
be obtained by completing the Evaluation Form also linked in the column to
the left.

Personal Assistance
In the state of Michigan, there are three lists of contacts
for your assistance: the
Regional School Health Education Coordinators,
Local Emergency Managers, and the
District Emergency
Management Coordinators. Each of these individuals services a county or
group of counties and provides a valuable resource in information about
Emergency Preparedness, this curriculum supplement, and the Michigan Model
for Health curriculum as a whole.
If you reside outside the state of Michigan, please
contact the Educational Materials Center directly at 1-800-214-8961 or email
