Grade Two Phase I Lesson 5

Lesson Title: Your Feelings and the Feelings of Others   (35 minutes)
Learning Objective(s)

I-12. Students will list a variety of feelings.

I-13. Students will classify feelings into four groups: happy, upset, surprised, calm.

I-14. Students will describe possible feelings elicited by hypothetical situations.

Preparation
  • Gather the needed materials.
  • Decide how you will divide your class into groups of four to five students for Activity 2.
  • Duplicate enough copies of the Student Worksheet, Four Categories of Feelings, so that each group of four or five students will have one worksheet or use student workbook.
  • Duplicate enough situations from the Labeling Feelings Master so that each group of four or five students will have one situation.
  • Review Teacher Reference.
