Lesson Title:  Health and Risks     (40 minutes)
Learning Objective(s)

I-1. Students will define the terms "health" and risks."

I-2. Students will describe the relationship between health and risks.

I-3. Students will identify the content of this health course.

I-4. Students will develop guidelines/rules for working together in the health classroom.

Preparation
  • Gather the needed materials
  • Decide how you will form pairs for Activity 4.
  • Prepare the transparencies from the Transparency Masters, Leading Causes of Death in the United States for Ages 15-24 and Leading Causes of Death in the United States for All Age Groups, if they have not been provided in your materials.
  • Duplicate the Family Resource Sheet, one per student or use student workbook.
