Lesson Title: Bus Safety   (25 minutes)
Learning Objective(s)

I-E. Students will label the danger zone around a school bus.

I-E. Students will list bus safety rules.

I-5. Students will demonstrate safe behavior while boarding, riding, and exiting a bus.

Preparation
  • Gather the needed materials.
  • Set up chairs to resemble a bus for Activity 2.  A large space will be needed.
  • Duplicate Student Worksheet, Safety Around the School Bus; one per student or use student workbook.
  • Duplicate Family Resource Sheet; one per student or use student workbook.

There has been no addendum published for this lesson.  The Poster, Bus Safety, was originally issued by AAA but is no longer distributed.  If you have access to this poster it is still a valuable resource for this lesson.  It is currently being redesigned by the EMC and will be available soon.
