Lesson Title: Making Decisions and Solving Problems   (35 minutes)
Learning Objective(s)

I-25. Students will demonstrate the steps for solving problems and making decisions.

I-26. Students will use the criteria for checking out solutions. 

Preparation
  • Gather the needed materials.
  • Decide how you will divide your class into small groups with five to six students in each group for Activity 2.
  • Duplicate the Student Worksheet, Using the Five Steps for Making Decisions and Solving Problems; one per small group or use student workbook.
  • Select a situation from those suggested by the students in Lesson I-5.  The situation must be appropriate for the classroom and for use with the five steps for solving problems and making decision.
  • Duplicate the Family Resource Sheet; one per student, or use the student workbook.
