Distributing Free Kits to Medicaid Eligible Families

As part of Governor Jennifer Granholm's Project Great Start, the R.E.A.D.Y. program has once again begun a free distribution to Michigan's most at risk families.  This is made possible in part by the continued support of corporate and foundation sponsors.  Free kits are being distributed by clinics and programs who offer services to low income clients and who pledge to take the time to help educate parents on the importance of early learning opportunities.  Kits will be distributed at office and home visits, to families with infants who are eligible for Medicaid assistance, on a one per family basis.

If you are interested in participating in this program and/or have signed a pledge to distribute kits, you may download your order form here or phone 1-800-214-8961 to have a form faxed to you.  Kits are ordered and shipped in even cartons only; 10 kits per carton.

For clients who are not Medicaid eligible there are two options; brochures may be ordered free (on the same order form as the free kits) and can be distributed to parents out of the Medicaid income range, or you can purchase kits and distribute them as a service.  Your sponsorship of kits for those not meeting the free criteria is not required but would be greatly appreciated.
