High-Performing Teams is a complete
activity notebook designed to help new and newly formed teams develop a
shared vision; set high-performance goals; establish norms; create an
action plan and develop common expectations for students. Based on the
Middle Start Reform Model, High-Performing Teams provides
step-by-step professional development activities to help teams
coordinate curriculum, instruction, and assessment; promote the
intellectual, social, emotional and physical needs of students, engage
in decision-making regarding policies and practices; cultivate
communication with families and communities; and flexibly group students
to ensure access to rigorous curriculum for all.
High-Performing Teams also comes
with a School Kit which includes four videotapes to facilitate learning
of various strategies and processes to improve student learning and help
teachers collaboratively plan and reflect. The School Kit also includes
a CD with templates of forms to help teams organize and record actions
