Parents are a child’s first and most important teachers. The R.E.A.D.Y. (Read, Educate, and Develop Youth) early childhood learning kits are designed to help parents of young children take advantage of their unique opportunity to develop learning skills in the first years of a child’s life.
Developed by the Michigan Department of Education, the primary focus of the early learning kits and packets is literacy, though the materials for the parents of infants expands more to address the needs of the whole child. Each kit or packet contains age-appropriate materials and activities to help parents prepare their young children with the skills they need to begin school R.E.A.D.Y. to learn!
