Riverside Academy, located in Mount Clemens, Michigan, is one of two alternative high schools in the Michigan Model Partnership for Character Education. The co-coordinators of the program are Jim Barnes and Lois Yohe Hill.

As one of the four comprehensive school sites, Riverside Academy is addressing four key goals:

Increase student interest in reading through the use of materials that exemplify the six core character traits.
Increase attendance during the school year through the use of incentives.
Increase student awareness and appreciation of cultural arts.
Improve connectedness among students through the provision of a student gathering place.
